Atelier Privé for your special occasions
This Friday evening, I was invited to attend Le Grand Bal du Casino Montreal as an influencer. It's a funny concept to attend something that you're technically hired to promote, because you are thinking about storytelling/creating content all the while trying to enjoy the present moment.
As soon as the date of the event was confirmed, I reached out to Olivia and Rachel, who are the founders of Atelier Privé, a high-end lending service specializing in designer dresses. I met these two entrepreneurs at their Spring/Summer collection launch back in February, and always kept them in mind as I knew I would have a special occasion coming at some point.
I think their concept addresses the need of so many women out there: an infinite and ever-updating closet! By appointment, you can visit their showroom in the Ville Saint-Laurent area of Montreal, try on different styles from their vast selection of designers and styles, and rent it at a fraction of the retail price.
I got a lot of questions on instagram on how their pricing works, so here's the breakdown:
Atelier Privé carries dresses size 0-12. The dresses vary in price, cocktail dresses range from 80-140$ and evening gowns range from 100-200$. All prices include all dry cleaning fees. They carry brand names sush as Zac Posen, Monique Lhullier, Halston, Badgley Mischka, Self portrait, Nicole Miller and Valentino just to name a few.
I chose this Mr. Self Portrait dress, which was the first one to catch my eye. I decided to balance the girl lace with black leather. I love how it's still casual so it transitioned well from day to night.
Finally, I accessorized with my favorite pieces from Mejuri's new DOME collection. Timeless and dainty. Didn't want to go overboard as the dress already stands out.
Wow. I really outdid myself in plugging brands and collaborations today.
On that note, I'm signing off. I wish everyone a great weekend!
