Celine Audrey New sunglasses + Mejuri ring
I realize that my posts are all over the place and very inconsistent with the locations. But I could not wait to share these pictures with you all, so I kind of jumped ahead of my original publishing schedule for this post.
I just came back from a three-day trip Los Angeles with my family. The Cali life is really what you see in the movies and reality shows: Palm trees, beautiful beaches, and the friendliest people. Another thing I love about LA is how good the food is. Literally every place we went to was so good, and filled with healthy options. Besides a mandatory trip to In-N-Out, all of our meals were so fresh!
We spent a day at the Getty Center, which is where I took these pictures. The center is perched atop a mountain, overlooking the pristine Pacific. On the other side is a view of downtown LA. I fell in love with the modern and minimalistic architecture of the center. The genius behind it is Richard Meier, who also designed the High Museum in Atlanta. It's amazing how he was able to conceive such a forward-looking design back in the 90's. The building is still so modern even by today's standards. Although this was my second time visiting, I was much more appreciative of the art than I was four years ago. Also, my dad enlightened me about J. Paul Getty's dramatic life. (seriously, his wiki page is worth a read if you have five minutes to spare)
The weather was perfect for walking around without being too hot. I am loving this off the shoulder top from H&M balance with a baggy pair of jean shorts. (DIY video is on my channel!) But really, what I love about my outfit is the accessories. Guys. I have been lusting over Celine Audrey sunglasses ever since I saw them on Fashion Squad back in 2011. And alas, I have my hands on them. I opted for the Audrey New, which has a more square shape to better frame my round face. The tint is a dark brown, which I prefer from a pitch black. Smartbuy Glasses has such a huge selection, that it might have taken me days to narrow down on the pair I want. But they had the Celine Audrey. So it took me five minutes to choose.
The last thing I want to mention in this post is the gold claw ring. I like to keep my jewelry light and simple, so this ring is the perfect way to make a statement without being too flashy. The design is so unique, literally like a bird's claw clenched around the finger. Check out Mejuri's "Into the Wild" collection for more unique pieces.
