Marché des Éclusiers - Old Port Montreal
Montreal becomes a whole new city during the summer. After a seemingly endless and physically painful winter, people's appreciation of the sun's warmth and simply being able to enjoy a nice walk outside is palpable. This summer, a new spot to enjoy the weather and beautiful Old Port views opened up: Marché des Éclusiers.
"Éclusiers" means lock-keepers in english... don't really know what the significance of the name is TBH. The whole theme of the place is a hybrid marketplace that only sells organic food. Some of the most known names in Montreal's food scene has a stand there, like Boucherie Lawrence and Omnivore. I discovered Nectar & Co bar à jus, which serves, you guessed it, freshly squeezed juices. But get this, all of their juices can be served with a shot(s) of organic tequila. So.... see you there?
Whether you live in Montreal or you're visiting, make sure you stop by this spot by the water!
