Brunch at Soubois Montreal
You may be familiar with Soubois as being the hottest new place to party it up, but did you know they also serve brunch? Well, now you do.
Located one flight of stairs below Maisonneuve, I feel as though I have entered Wonderland. The vibrant colors and architectural trees make this place stand out right away. I've been to Soubois at night, but you can't fully appreciate the interior when the lights are dimmed and had a few shots. (guilty) Rediscovering the space during the day to appreciate the whimisical interior is enough reason to visit.
The food pics speak for themselves. This is a menu for those who want brunch staples, but don't mind a surprise ingredient to keep it interesting. My personal favorite was the stack of blueberry pancakes, as it achieves the perfect balance of fluffiness and sweetness. (Thank you for the recommendation, JF)
It was also great to see my friends at the event, while also meeting new people. I think you guys might recognize other bloggers from the pictures (s/o Julia and Katia!) At the table, I was seated with Camille and Virginie from Le Cahier, an amazing lifestyle blog that speaks to all young women. I've met these ladies a few times at events, but finally got a chance to have a conversation beyond bisous, bisous. Also, I was so happy to run into An (@MtlFoodSnob). You'll be seeing more of her on my channel as we have an exciting project in the works! This brunch refueled me, not only with food, but the conversations with these strong and self-motivated women fuel me to work harder and stay inspired.
The pancakes feed my sweet tooth, but good people feed the soul.
